Magical Evening of Christmas Concert
First Presbyterian Church of Yorktown hosted it’s second annual Christmas concert on December 22nd. It was great to see members, community leaders and other churches in the area attend this event.
This year, a “passing of the light” candle lighting was added to the hymn “Silent Night”. It was beautiful to see all the candles add an ambient glow to the service.
Dan Watson, opened the service with “O, Come All Ye Faithful” and played several other selections from the piano. Our own Mrs. Simpson, played a medley of hymns and an organ/piano duet with Mr. Watson. Ms. Stephanie Buesing presented a piano solo work of “O, Tannenbaum”.
The Concert event ended with a reception in the FPC Fellowship Hall with several great desserts and drinks provided by the ladies of the church.
